Language Lab

The Academy has a Language Lab, which is equipped with a new technique developed to teach a second language/foreign language. The B.E.L. type of laboratory, i.e. Wired Laboratory is in use. The objective of the language laboratory is to speed up the learning program and to give the teacher more time to help each student with his problems. This Wired Laboratory has 50 student-booths in which the students hear the master respond with the correct utterances and may then replay the recording of their own responses and the master track for self-evaluation. Students, sitting in each booth, hear a lesson through headsets and repeat the drills of pronunciation and sentence pattern. Any student can contact the teacher by pressing button in his booth. The teacher can contact all the students at a time and also he can listen and talk to the students, if desired, without disturbing others. The teacher can also control the student tape-recording. Students can surmount their difficulties by discussing with the teacher and other students also. A two-way conversation can also be established.
